Heat Resistance: It is very heat resistant, resisting up to 350° degrees, which makes it ideal for use on fireplaces and barbecue grills.
Acid Resistance: It is resistant to many acids and chemicals, making it useful on kitchen countertops, islands, and bathrooms.
Durability: As it is a very resistant stone, it is easily found in works and sculptures. An example is Christ the Redeemer, which is made of soapstone.
Low water absorption (Use in swimming pools and saunas): Maintains the water temperature for an average of 4 to 6 hours in heated pools with an energy saving of 40%, water savings due to low absorption, 0.06%, does not require waterproofing, when wet it highlights its natural veins.
